MAAX Stops Market Launch
of “Walk-in tub”

Lachine, Quebec, Canada, June 4, 2010 – At year-end 2009, MAAX US Corp. purchased the assets of Vita Bath, a competing manufacturer of acrylic bathtubs located in Miami, Florida. As part of the acquisition process, MAAX assessed the walk in product design purchased from Vita Bath and the “walk in” tub market.

After considerable customer feedback and intensive product development we have concluded that at this time the Vita Bath “walk-in” tub product will not meet our quality standards. Read the complete memo >
